Comments:

Alexandra Park neighbours Scatting Court Community Center ( Board of Mngmt). Ther e is a more junior fenced in playground area closer to the center. The parks playground was recently redone. The park also has a bake oven in it which is run by the Centre. Its construction was a not well done and so is difficult to use and therefore not used often. Also there are constraints on who can use it. Up until this year , only one lady was able to use it. This year she has been allowed to train volunteers as well. There is a community garden and composting site at the south end of the park. The park also operates as an ice rink in the winter. The rink pads are used for skateboarders in the summer. Some skate boarding furniture is on the pads, don’ t know who owns those.

Looked like someone had gathered twigs in a clean up effort. Park was relatively clean from litter. Nice Plaque with park name on it. Park had a community feel to it. There were houses and a convenience store next to it. Park is also one of first ones to have their water fountain turned on. Also had a tether ball pole!! No ball J There is a wading pool and a field house.
