Brookbanks Park playground maintenance history
This park is in a beautiful location, with really bad maintenance. The swings have only the rusted frame, no swings. The wood part of the structure has aged well but the plastic has been bleached by the sun and it looks cheap (although still quite solid to the touch).
Picnic tables and benches need wood and nails. At the same time, the "bones" of the park are good and there are wonderful paths leading into the woods and along a spring runoff waterway. Children must have had great adventures playing there, over the years.
The park is part of a bigger ravine system and a bit remote -- it wasn't obvious where playground users could park to get there, on weekdays when there's no parking along the road.
Old equipment gone, construction starting.
