For Kelly Grant's full story, click here. • Urge the province to upload the Gardiner Expressway and the DVP in exchange for a cut of future revenues on region-wide road tolls on the expressways and 400 series highways in the GTA; • Evaluate the options for “monetizing” assets, including Toronto Hydro, Enwave and the Toronto Parking Authority, which could give the city as much as $3.5-billion; • Consider a non-residential surface parking tax; • Consider establishing “car-free” zones in the city; • Decrease business property taxes by shifting more of the tax burden to residents; • Give the mayor the power to direct, appoint and fire the city manager, Toronto’s top bureaucrat;"
