Please be advised that MPP Mike Colle (Eglinton - Lawrence) will be hosting a town - hall meeting on "Getting Guns Off Our Streets" on Wednesday May 14th, 2008 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Columbus Centre (Rotunda) 901 Lawrence Ave. West. Attached please find the invite.

We will be discussing....

• MPP Mike Colle introduced Bill 56 - Unlawful Firearms in Act,

2008 in the Ontario Legislature on April 9th, 2008. The bill passed second reading on April 24th with strong support from members of all 3 parties. If passed, this bill would give police officers the authority to impound a vehicle and suspend the license of a driver who unlawfully possesses an illegal firearm in their vehicle. In addition to this, drivers with unlawful firearms in their vehicles would see a possible $10,000 fine and jail time.
