Hi FROGS

I know that some of you were able to come out and meet on Thursday and view the plans. There were a couple of points that I wanted to make before anything went forward. I will list them below and please feel free to add your comments and or additions.

A. I feel that the new windows that will be installed in the programming room should be designed to open to allow fresh air into the room. There is mounting evidence that the air inside of buildings is often more contaminated when fresh air is not available. B. Further to this point the windows in community common space should be retro fitted to provide fresh air as well.

C. Can consideration be given to installing windows along the wall in the programming room on the Alton street side to provide more natural light. With this, chances are very good that artificial lightning will not be necessary during the day and this will of course result in lower energy use.

D. The community common space requires a small counter with underneath storage for beverage and snack sharing.

E. There is still a lack of shade in the children’s playground area is still a concern that needs to be addressed.

F. The playground equipment (excluding the swings, scraping and a fresh coat of paint will suffice) needs upgrading. Wood playground equipment is not only pleasing to look at, durable at but provides a more natural play experience.
