Recent Event -- Campfire at the Parkette

On November 26, 2006, we had a community marshmallow & weiner roast at the parkette. It was a very well-attended (about 40 people) and well-received event in the neighbourhood, and was made possible by the campfire expertise of some of Dufferin Grove Park staff.

Unfortunately we were not able to take nice pictures due to the low light and our lack of photography skills, but here are some pictures that hopefully convey how warm and friendly it was despite the weather. (The picture on the right is not a huge fire! It's just the glare of the lights in the parking lot across the road :-)

People stayed way past the children's bed-time of 7:00pm and most people who attended felt that this was exactly the type of event we need at the parkette.

Potluck October 2006 (Halloween)

Despite the weather about 20 people came out for our second potluck on October 28th. Some of us came dressed for the Night of Dread parade happening later that night (try to guess who!!).
